Environmental Policy
Plastics Direct Limited provides the 'stocking, and supply of plastic sheet, rod, and tube' to customers' stated specifications. The company is based in Ashton-U-Lyne, and operates throughout the UK. It is our policy to provide high quality products and services, and to minimise any environmental impact on customers, supply chain partners and neighbours. The Board and Management of Plastics Direct Limited recognise that an Environmental Management System is of vital importance, contributing to improved business development and of equal status to Production, Quality and Health & Safety.
The Company takes account of the impact of its activities on the environment and is committed:
- To recognise environmental issues as fundamental to the business strategy to be represented by a Director at board level
- To maintain appropriate environmental management systems which effectively implement this environmental policy
- To ensure that employees continually acquire and develop a working knowledge of environmental issues which relate to their business and their own responsibilities in connection with such issues
- To comply with legal and other requirements, co-operating fully with relevant statutory bodies and trade associations. In addition, the Company will endeavour to reduce, and where practically possible, prevent pollution
- To increase the efficiency of use of energy, materials, water and other natural resources
- To record, monitor and review the environmental aspects of the Company's operations, set and review objectives and targets for continual improvement and the reduction of adverse impacts
